The Best Baby Wipes for Your Babys Bottom + GIVEAWAY

Let me ask you a question, mommies: How often do you use baby wipes?

I am pretty sure that most of you guys would say EVERY-STINKING-DAY. So do I! However, not all wipes are created equal.

Popular baby wipes that you see on the market contain a ton of ingredients that we try to avoid wanting to use on our kiddos since they include, but not limited to:

  • parabens
  • phthalates (fragrance)
  • PEG’s
  • propylene glycol
  • phenoxyethanol and more

Let’s not fail to mention what it takes to create your average baby wipe-it is a harsh process. Not only that, but most wipes take years and years to breakdown in a landfill-one reason why we use cloth diapers.

Why should you care so much? You will go through an average of ten diaper changes a day for the first 6 months. About 2 wipes for wet, 5 wipes for soiled bums, that’s about 30 baby wipes per day. Over 200 per week, nearly 1000 per month. Therefore, what you decide to put on your baby’s booty and face should totally matter to you!

I recently discovered a new brand of wipes that I am pretty darn happy with-even as a cloth diapering/wiping mother. When I am not using my own homemade cloth wipes to go with our cloth diapers, I personally use bloom Baby Sensitive Wipes while I am out and about and on the go. These sensitive wipes are especially great for babes prone to rashes, acne and eczema.

bloom Baby Sensitive Wipes are made of “EcoFiber”, an ultra-soft, non-abrasive and skin-friendly material made from sustainably derived cellulose which means that they also breakdown easier than your average baby wipe. The water used in the wipes is sourced from a 6,000-year-old Canadian Glacier that is purified until it is pharmaceutical-grade.

Besides the glacier water, the only added ingredients are plant-derived vitamins A, B-Complex, D, Omega-3, and -6, and Phenoxyethanol, a preservative that has been proven safe at very low levels and prevents the growth of microorganisms. Hypoallergenic and produced in an FDA facility free of nuts, gluten and wheat processing, and Bloom Baby products are made in the USA at a facility powered by wind energy.

You can check out the ingredient listing on the back of the wipes below to see for yourself:

As you can see below, I have been taking these wipes everywhere we go! Especially since toddlers can get a teeny bit quite messy. You can use these wipes for anything-not just your baby’s bottom! This week, I spent more time wiping his clothing, face, and hands more than anything!

And then there was the ice cream trip.. that was fun! These wipes hold up very well and they do not leave behind an icky smell or feeling like most wipes. I honestly won’t be purchasing any conventional wipes ever again since I have found these from Bloom Baby.
