Pregnancy: 20 Weeks Bump Update

Hellllllloooo discomfort. The low back pains are finally starting and I have a feeling now that I am older, it will be much wose than when I was pregnant with my last baby over 8 years ago. Ive also been experiencing some insomnia this week for whatever reason so I have been extra tired BUT it was an awesome week because little man is getting stronger. So strong that Scotty got to feel him kick for the very first time. I have my next appt to see his cute face in about two weeks and this weekend, my husband and I are heading to Jamaica for a little relaxation before baby gets here-1 of 3 fun getaways planned this year!

How far along? 20 weeks

Baby size: a banana

Total weight gain: 8lbs – I am at 136lbs currently.

Maternity clothes? Sometimes.

Stretch marks? No

Sleep: This week insomnia started hitting. Halfway through my 20th week, I could feel little guy twisting around and it kept me up i n the middle of the night.

Workouts: Workouts are still normal. Just no stomach lying positions anymore.

Diet: Diet was good this week-salads for lunch and whatever I wanted for dinner. I did indulge in blueberry pie at my local bakery. I have been drinking lots of fresh pressed juices and pineapple infused water.

Best moment this week:  Scotty got to feel the baby kick!!! We were laying in the bed and I swear he let out the biggest kick ever. Scotty could not believe it. The look on his face was so sweet.

Miss anything? Lying on my belly comfortably to sleep. But I am ordering a new pregnancy pillow to help!

Food cravings: My sausage cheese dip I made. Served with tortilla chips!

Anything making you queasy or sick? No.

Gender:  a BOY! 🙂

Labour signs: No!

Symptoms: Feeling a lot more flutters this week. Feeling very tired and my boobs hurt. He is starting to let out bigger kicks and movements to remind me that he is there. I am also dealing with an achy lower back now and feeling a bit yucky.

Belly button in or out? In! It never popped out the last 2 times.

Wedding rings on or off: On.

Notes:

I found out I was pregnant at just 3 weeks of pregnancy after we did our frozen embryo transfer. If you haven’t followed my IVF journey, check out my frozen embryo transfer blog and my egg retrieval blog. Long story short, my husband was infertile due to the structure of his reproductive system-his vas deferens were missing so IVF was the only way and it worked the first try!

I have not been pregnant in 8 years almost so it is wild that I am doing it all over again and hope to do it only fourth and final time in another two-three years. Wish us luck and love! I will be doing these pregnancy progression bump updates weekly so you can “grow” with me along with a bump photo + questions about my pregnancy.
