Pregnancy: 8 Weeks Bump Update

Hellllooooo 8 weeks of pregnancy! We just got home from our little family trip to Gatlinburg TN and it was such a nice little get away for our family of 4. We went to Wilderness at the Smokies and Soaky Mountain- a waterpark resort tucked away in Servierville TN. We spent a couple of days there and then visited Gatlinburg for a day before leaving for home. My daughter has her yearly dance recital this weekend which I am so thrilled about. Pregnancy wise, I am feeling very tired and hungry as usual and trying to find the light at the end of the tunnel where the energy comes back. I ate a ton of good food the last few days so I am looking forward to eating healthier next week. We get to see our NEW OB his week who will deliver our baby most likely and I am thrilled over that. The kids will be able to come and see baby for the first time on ultrasound. We also have a photoshoot planned where we will announce that we are pregnant. I will probably still wait until almost 12 weeks-maybe mid June-these posts are private until then. I am also about to start working on my prenatal workout app and guide-good things happening.

How far along? 8 weeks

Baby size: a raspberry

Total weight gain: 128lbs-its about the same as prior to pregnancy but then I came home from vacay at 131lbs LOL! I am also constipated so that is probably the issue.

Maternity clothes? Nope but I have a feeling I will need some soon.

Stretch marks? No.

Sleep: ALWAYS TIRED.

Workouts: Officially off pelvic rest. My subchorionic hematoma is GONE! The Lord is good!! I will resume daily walks here soon and get back to my normal routine.

Diet: I ate a ton of pancakes this week……….

Best moment this week:  Getting to go on vacation with my kids, meeting our OB, them seeing the baby for the first time, and our photoshoot. Also Everly’s recital-that girl is a star and I am so proud of her.

Miss anything? My energy and feeling full.

Food cravings: CARBS

Anything making you queasy or sick? No but if i get too hungry I feel icky and nauseated.

Gender: We will find out at 15/16 weeks which embryo was used for our IVF transfer! We hope to bring the kids along. We will use Living Images in Shalimar FL-the same ultrasound sonographer who told me Greyson was a boy and Everly was a girl.

Labour signs: No!

Symptoms: Extreme fatigue, gassy, tender breasts. Vivid dreams. Constipation has hit hard this week.. have to take fiber supplements daily.

Belly button in or out? In! It never popped out the last 2 times.

Wedding rings on or off: On.

Notes:

I found out I was pregnant at just 3 weeks of pregnancy after we did our frozen embryo transfer. If you haven’t followed my IVF journey, check out my frozen embryo transfer blog and my egg retrieval blog. Long story short, my husband was infertile due to the structure of his reproductive system-his vas deferens were missing so IVF was the only way and it worked the first try!

I have not been pregnant in 8 years almost so it is wild that I am doing it all over again and hope to do it only fourth and final time in another two-three years. Wish us luck and love! I will be doing these pregnancy progression bump updates weekly so you can “grow” with me along with a bump photo + questions about my pregnancy.
