Diary of a Fit mommy

Pregnancy: 26 Weeks Bump Update

IThis week was so fast paced. We got the kids and hit the ground running with dance, fairs, festivals, and basketball. Oh yeah, and homeschooling which I have not really spoken much about. Its been nonstop for sure and sometimes I wonder how I do it all and run a business? My husband is home now to help luckily but plans on going back to college for his degree after baby is born early next year. I feel this pregnancy has gone so fast that I’ve barely gotten to enjoy it! But he is moving ever so often and letting me know he is brewing and ready to meet us. It was a good week nevertheless.

How far along? 26 weeks

Baby size: Scallion

Total weight gain: 18lbs – 146lbs

Maternity clothes? Mostly! Things are not fitting very well anymore

Stretch marks? No

Sleep: I FINALLY got my sleep pillow!! Its the Clone body pillow and OMG… everyone needs one pregnant or not. Its a cooling body pillow that will blow your mind.

Workouts: We attempted our family walks again but this was such a busy week-something going on every night it seems so we were barely home. Will attempt to do our regular walks next time!

Diet: I feel like I did not have many cravings at all this week and I ate a lot less than usual. I typically wake up and eat a homemade bagel half with cream cheese. snack on fruit or baby food fruit puree (yes weird I know), and eat whatever for lunch and dinner. Super simple.

Best moment this week:  My maternity shoot. I had my kids and husband join in which made them extra special. I had my images done by Suneeta Ames Photography and I cannot wait to see the final edits. I never felt more beautiful! My daughter kept telling me over and over tonight how beautiful I looked and my heart bursted.

Miss anything? My ab muscles not hurting. I get so many twinges and weird pains in my abs sometimes when I move wrong. I think its due to the anterior placenta but who knows. Having an anterior placenta truly sucks by the way.

Food cravings: Still loving some baby food! This week I also started making homemade banana crumble with vanilla ice cream and OMG. That hit the spot.

Anything making you queasy or sick? No.

Gender:  a BOY! 🙂

Labour signs: No!

Symptoms: Heartburn is still happening and just a general achiness in my back and pelvic area.

Belly button in or out? In! It never popped out the last 2 times.

Wedding rings on or off: On.

Notes:

I found out I was pregnant at just 3 weeks of pregnancy after we did our frozen embryo transfer. If you haven’t followed my IVF journey, check out my frozen embryo transfer blog and my egg retrieval blog. Long story short, my husband was infertile due to the structure of his reproductive system-his vas deferens were missing so IVF was the only way and it worked the first try!

I have not been pregnant in 8 years almost so it is wild that I am doing it all over again and hope to do it only fourth and final time in another two-three years. Wish us luck and love! I will be doing these pregnancy progression bump updates weekly so you can “grow” with me along with a bump photo + questions about my pregnancy.
