Pregnancy: 17 Weeks Bump Update

This week was spent getting back on track from Disney, catching up on work, and getting the kids ready for the new school year. Sadly Disney World left both my husband and I sick as dogs! But I guess that is what happens when you visit the germiest place on Earth. Nevertheless, it was a good week but nothing exciting or new really happened. I am not feeling baby boy move very much due to my anterior placenta but every now and then I will feel something on the side. We do get to see him next week at our next OB visit in which we will do the anatomy utrasound to make sure he looks good! I cannot wait for that and will wait to update you guys until after that visit.

How far along? 17 weeks

Baby size: a turnip

Total weight gain: I am back at my pre-vacation weight of 133lbs now that my eating is back to normal. So that still puts me at about 5lbs of weight gain so far which is right on cue with what is recommended.

Maternity clothes? Not usually. But I am wearing them here and there. I do feel like my bump popped out this week!

Stretch marks? No

Sleep: Sleep is still great.

Workouts: I did not workout this week or go on daily walks with my husband because we were both very sick. Instead my workout consisted of binging the Lost series, eating tons of fruit, and playing Call of Duty.

Diet: I have been loving some fruit-melon is the winner this week. I taste tested some canteloupe in Publix and took home some to enjoy. Also kiwis, cherry plums, peaches, nectarines-yum!

Best moment this week:  RELAXATION and getting a massage at My Favorite Place spa by Stacy, my favorite!

Miss anything? Nothing so far!

Food cravings: Tons of fruits. Could not taste much though.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nothing! Just dealing with this cold and mucous has made me a little nauseated.

Gender:  a BOY! 🙂

Labour signs: No!

Symptoms: Have not noticed anything new-too busy focusing on coughing up mucous and wiping my nostrils this week.

Belly button in or out? In! It never popped out the last 2 times.

Wedding rings on or off: On.

Notes:

I found out I was pregnant at just 3 weeks of pregnancy after we did our frozen embryo transfer. If you haven’t followed my IVF journey, check out my frozen embryo transfer blog and my egg retrieval blog. Long story short, my husband was infertile due to the structure of his reproductive system-his vas deferens were missing so IVF was the only way and it worked the first try!

I have not been pregnant in 8 years almost so it is wild that I am doing it all over again and hope to do it only fourth and final time in another two-three years. Wish us luck and love! I will be doing these pregnancy progression bump updates weekly so you can “grow” with me along with a bump photo + questions about my pregnancy.
