Pregnancy: 24 Weeks Bump Update
How far along? 24 weeks
Baby size: Ear of Corn
Total weight gain: 16bs – 144lbs PHEWWW that was fast.
Maternity clothes? Wearing maternity items more often now! Small sized shirts fit snugly on my bump.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Sleep has been pretty good this week minus some insomnia.
Workouts: I was not as active as I wanted to be this week but I think my body deserved a rest after two days of filming my new fitness program last week.
Diet: I did not have any specific cravings this week oddly enough. I am actually starting to feel more full after eating smaller amounts. I guess baby is pushing on my stomach and making me less hungry!
Best moment this week: Doing my son’s hair and helping him to feel more confident. He got a haircut and I lightened his hair at home because it is what he always wanted. I also bought my daughter new pearl earrings that actually did not hurt her ears. It was a good week with the kids. I got a facial which was nice!
Miss anything? Not feeling pain! The back pains and bending over discomforts are starting to happen a lot but I am getting two massages a month to help. Need to see the chiropractor soon also.
Food cravings: Not much! I made cake pops and Kentucky Butter Cake with the kids this week but I honestly did not feel too hungry.
Anything making you queasy or sick? No.
Gender: a BOY! π
Labour signs: No!
Symptoms: Heartburn still happening, lots of kicking now. I can notice his sleep cycles. I think he hears outside voices now because he responds which is so cute.
Belly button in or out? In! It never popped out the last 2 times.
Wedding rings on or off: On.
Notes:
I found out I was pregnant at just 3 weeks of pregnancy after we did our frozen embryo transfer. If you haven’t followed my IVF journey, check out my frozen embryo transfer blog and my egg retrieval blog. Long story short, my husband was infertile due to the structure of his reproductive system-his vas deferens were missing so IVF was the only way and it worked the first try!
I have not been pregnant in 8 years almost so it is wild that I am doing it all over again and hope to do it only fourth and final time in another two-three years. Wish us luck and love! I will be doing these pregnancy progression bump updates weekly so you can “grow” with me along with a bump photo + questions about my pregnancy.
