Our 4D Ultrasound with Our Baby Girl
Today I went and had our 4D ultrasound done with our daughter. I had gotten a 4D ultrasound done when I was pregnant with our son and it was such an amazing experience that I HAD to do it again.
The moment I saw her face, I fell in complete, utter love. It finally felt REAL. This was my DAUGHTER. Wow.
I spent an hour gazing at her, watching her movements and facial features. Though she was breech and I didn’t get as good of a view as we did with Greyson’s 4D, but I got to see plenty and I am so lucky for that!
Before arriving at the ultrasound clinic, I made a list of three names. The ultrasound specialist asked me what our choices were so we told her. She then proceeded to ask our daughter, while we were watching her face, what she thought about each name. Apparently the first name she asked baby if she liked was a hit because she smiled so big. So we asked again-she smiled again! We then proceeded to ask her if she liked the remaining two names and she did not budge. When asked for a third time if she liked the first name again and there it was-another big smile. Our daughter has literally chosen her name!
Though we won’t be revealing her name until we actually get to meet her, I am in love with it and I hope it matches! The 4D experience was so incredible and I cannot believe more ladies don’t invest in it. I mean, you literally get to “meet” your baby before meeting them! I went to Living Images which is the same exact place we went for our gender reveal. Lisa Schwartz is AMAZING with the ultrasound machine and can tell gender as early as 16 weeks along-and she is never wrong.
It seems these days that so many mommies want to get the blood test to find out at 11 weeks-heck, I considered it at first-but I am SO glad I waited and found out at 16 weeks because nothing replaces the anticipation and memory of going and finding out via seeing the gender on the ultrasound.
