One Month of Everly Quinn

Our little Everly turned one month on the 13th this past month. Wow, wow, wow… what a whirlwind month it has been.

To track her monthly growth, I decided to do a floral theme starting with Wisteria-and purple, of course. I definitely believe purple will be her color. Right?

How do I sum up the month?

Labor and delivery were just simply amazing. We brought her home and our lives felt so complete though big brother had some issues adjusting to his permanent house guest. At two weeks old, our son got sick so Evie got sick too-yay. She ended up getting bronchiolitis thanks to something our son brought home from school, but she recovered fully after almost two exhausting, painful weeks. At the point of her recovery, my father in law passed away so she made her first long-distance road trip to Knoxville, TN to be present at his funeral. This was the hardest week my husband and I have dealt with in a very long time. Not only is traveling with a 3 week old hard, Evie also lost her grandfather whom she never got to meet, but will only know in spirit. Everly attended her first motorsport race this past weekend, my gift to my husband for Father’s Day. We settled back down at home and are back into our usual routine and are enjoying each new milestone. She started smiling and cooing a bit around one month and is wide awake. She only wakes up twice per night and has since we brought her home! Bows are her favorite accessory. She has blue eyes which I hope will stay and curly hair when it’s wet.

We are so thankful for this little girl of ours and are excited to see what happens in the months to come.
